Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ternis.link (including href.nz, href.re and personal *.ternis.link subdomains). By creating or opening a link, you accept them.

The service

ternis.link shortens long URLs into short links, with optional custom slugs, descriptions, tags, analytics and custom domains. Guest use needs no account and is limited by a daily fair-use quota (currently 50 links/day); accounts have plan quotas.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service for:

  • phishing, fraud, malware distribution or any unlawful purpose;
  • spam or unsolicited bulk messaging;
  • probing or attacking the service itself — automated vulnerability scanning, credential stuffing and similar traffic is forbidden and scanner-shaped destinations are rejected automatically;
  • content that infringes intellectual property or personality rights;
  • circumventing quotas, rate limits or access controls.

Enforcement

We may deactivate or delete links, throttle or block accounts/IP ranges, and report severe abuse — without prior notice where delay would cause harm. Deactivated links keep their analytics; deleted data follows the Privacy Policy.

Availability

A best-effort service without uptime guarantees. Expired or deactivated links show a not-found page. We may change quotas, limits and features without prior notice.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to intent and gross negligence; mandatory consumer and product-liability rights are unaffected. You are responsible for the destinations you share.
